Netcentric is an LLP located in Cental Texas. The primary goal of operations is to meet the needs for internet access in the lodging industry. This is done by providing affordable, scalable solutions to both reduce telecommunications cost and provide a revenue stream from high speed Internet access.

Hotel Telecommunications

Business and individual travelers are increasingly carrying a variety of devices to access the Internet via a standard telco connection. This is placing a high demand on trunk lines in individual properties. The strategy of providing additional trunk lines is costly and imperfect. Business travelers in single line rooms cannot access on-line services and make calls at the same time, reducing revenue from toll calls. Adding NetCentric high speed Internet access addresses these problems in a solution that scales up as your demand increases.

NetCentric Networking Strategies

Hotels typically have two to three pairs of voice grade copper telephone lines running to each guest room. Currently these lines support speeds not in excess of 51 kpbs and in many cases not over 14k. The traditional strategy of one trunk line per 10-12 guest rooms dictates 10 trunks per 100 rooms. Under this strategy 10 Internet users will lock out service to the other 90 rooms. Hotels are currently adding additional trunks to meet demand or rewiring to support data traffic. The high cost of trunk lines and the prohibitive cost of rewiring make these solutions unattractive at best.
